At FEHD FOUNDATION, our mission is to provide unwavering support for the socio-economic development of women, girls, and children in rural and underserved communities.
We do this through evidence-based programs and interventions that amplify voices, expand access to education and welfare services, and promote behavioral and attitudinal change.
We combine education, advocacy, and capacity building to strengthen communities from within. Our initiatives foster inclusive growth by creating safe spaces for learning, improving maternal and child health, advancing women’s rights, and promoting gender equality.
In collaboration with government agencies, civil society, and local partners, we design and implement impactful programs that respond to the evolving needs of communities. From skill acquisition to social norm change campaigns, we focus on both immediate relief and long-term empowerment.
- Women’s Economic Development – Promoting financial independence through vocational training, entrepreneurship, and skill acquisition programs.
- Education and Girl-Child Empowerment – Expanding access to quality education and leadership opportunities for girls in rural communities.
- Health and Well-being – Supporting maternal health (prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care), menstrual hygiene management, nutrition, and family planning, end to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
- Gender Equality and Social Change – Combating early and forced marriage, gender-based violence, and harmful social norms through advocacy and community engagement.
- Research and Evidence Building – Using data and community-led research to shape policies and interventions that drive sustainable development.
- Community Welfare and Development – Providing psychosocial support, promoting inclusive growth, and mobilizing host communities for positive behavioral change.
- Digital Inclusion and Social Awareness – Leveraging digital tools and the integration of education and entertainment to drive awareness, learning, and positive social change.
- Capacity Building: We organize awareness, training, knowledge sharing & empowerment programs including strengthening of small scale enterprises, thrift clubs and micro credit facilities for economic development and poverty reduction.
- Mobilization: We promote change from within through community collective action, community mobilization and sensitization seminars.
- Inclusive participation: We promote multiplier effect through organized impact diffusion and application of participatory approach in project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation.
- Technical Assistance: We empower existing structures in the grassroots for sustainability.
- Gender Based Violence: Our innovative interventions focus on combating different forms of violence against women and girls.
- Project Evaluation: As part of its work, FEHD Foundation provides project evaluation services for other civil society organizations ( CSOs), promoting accountability, learning, and stronger program outcomes.
