DESCRIPTION:In recognition of International Women’s Day\, observed annually on March 8\, FEHD Foundation will organize an advocacy and engagement event focused on celebrating the achievements of women and girls while advancing dialogue on equity\, rights\, and empowerment. \nThe event will provide a platform to address critical issues affecting women and girls\, including access to education\, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)\, leadership and economic empowerment\, and the elimination of harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. Through interactive sessions\, community dialogue\, and edutainment-based approaches\, participants will be encouraged to learn\, share experiences\, and contribute to collective action for social change. \nCommunity members\, educators\, youth leaders\, and key stakeholders will be engaged to highlight the importance of inclusive community and educational systems in promoting gender equality and protecting the dignity and wellbeing of women and girls. The event aims to strengthen partnerships and foster sustainable strategies that support long-term empowerment and justice.
